White Plains New York
White Plains is a city in Westchester County, New York, serving as the county seat and commercial hub. Located just 25 miles north of Midtown Manhattan, it is in the affluent southern part of the county. The city had an estimated population of 57,866 in 2013, up from 56,853 in 2010. Its daytime population swells to around 250,000 during weekdays. White Plains was ranked third in 2014 by Movoto as one of the top 10 places to live in New York. The city’s downtown area, Mamaroneck Avenue, is its central point.
